The map's baseplate is a slab of snow-white marble, symbolizing purity and nobility. Federal districts and cities are marked with charoite mined from our famous "Lavender Stone" deposit. Special attention was paid to Lake Baikal: it is laid out with lapis lazuli, emphasizing the clarity of its waters and the beauty of great Russian nature.
The capital cities of the federal districts are marked with natural cabochon gems made of sunny-colored citrine. The map's dimensions are impressive: it measures 1400×800×15 mm, with a total weight of about 45 kilograms.
